Gomme con i fianchi rinforzati: se si forano permettono di arrivare fino al gommista anche sgonfie, per un tratto e a una velocità limitati (di solito fino a 80 km a 80 km/h; vale quanto indicato dal costruttore dell'auto e della gomma).
Posso montare le runflat su qualsiasi auto?
Le runflat vanno montate su auto con il sensore di pressione delle gomme (TPMS): senza, potresti non accorgerti della foratura. Di solito si montano sulle auto che le hanno di serie.
Posso mettere una runflat insieme a una gomma normale?
Sullo stesso asse monta sempre due gomme uguali per misura, tipo e struttura: non mescolare runflat e gomme normali.
Quanti millimetri di battistrada deve avere una gomma usata?
Il minimo di legge è 1,6 mm. Su ogni gomma indichiamo i millimetri misurati e le trovi divise per battistrada: da 7 mm in su, tra 5 e 7 mm, sotto i 5 mm.
Come capisco quanti anni ha una gomma?
Dal DOT sul fianco: le ultime quattro cifre sono la settimana e l'anno di produzione. Per esempio 2321 vuol dire 23ª settimana del 2021.
